Chalfont & Latimer A long woodland walk with a beautiful historic house in the unspoilt Chenies village. 4 miles
Chorleywood Explore the common and surrounding area. Great views and tucked-away cottages. 2½ miles circular.
Cockfosters Trent Park – a large (400 acres) country park with meadows, ancient woodland and two lakes.
Debden Ramble through the Roding Valley Meadows Nature Reserve. 3 miles
Kingsbury Fryent Country Park. An unusual opportunity to explore a preserved area of old farmland under a mile from the station.
Loughton  Epping Forest
Morden Morden Hall Park – 125 acres including wetland on the flood plain of the River Wandle. Lots of interesting buildings and a waterwheel.
Perivale Canal walk. Can be extended to a climb up Horsenden Hill 2 miles
Totteridge and Whetstone Lovely summer walk by the Folly Brook through woods and meadows 3½miles
Watford Cassiobury Park. Shallow watercress streams, wild flower meadows, small weirs. Also excellent  formal paddling pools and a miniature railway that winds through the woodland at weekends.
